Gramophone Editor-in-Chief James Jolly and reviewer Rob Cowan discuss the three contending chamber music recordings in the 2011 Gramophone Classical Music Awards, which this year are presented in association with Steinway & Sons.

The recordings are: Vilde Frang performing Bartók, Grieg and Strauss violin sonatas (EMI); the Pavel Haas Quartet playing Dvorák (Supraphon); and Alina Ibragimova and Cédric Tiberghien playing Beethoven sonatas for piano and violin (Wigmore Hall Live).
