Duet taken from the Live from London Summer Festival

The latest edition of the acclaimed Live from London - Summer 2021 - opens tomorrow. Running from July 4 to August 22, the programme draws on repertoire from early to contemporary to present a 'festival celebrating cycles of renewal and regeneration in nature and spirit'.

Every concert is beautifully filmed and recorded in superb sound - and what better demonstration than this gloriously performed duet from the programme on August 8 called 'Heroes and Heroines', featuring Mary Bevan, soprano, Barnaby Smith, countertenor & Artistic Director, and The Illyria Consort: 'Caro, Più Amabile Beltà', from Handel's Guilio Cesare in Egitto.

Other leading ensembles and soloists performing over the coming weeks will include The King’s Singers, I Fagiolini, Chineke!, ORA Singers, Mary Bevan, and a star quartet of Julian Bliss, Jack Liebeck, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Katya Apekisheva - and of course VOCES8 themselves, who will make guest appearances in every concert in the main series.
