The East Neuk Festival took place in Fife this weekend involving both live and digital events - but for those unable to attend the scenic Scottish setting, specially recorded recitals remain available to watch online for the whole of July.

Performances were made by oud player Rihab Azar, the Castalian Quartet, guitarist Sean Shibe, The Tallis Scholars and pianist Llŷr Williams - and as a demonstration of the music-making on offer, here's a striking video of violinist Benjamin Baker performing Bach's Solo Sonata No 3 in C, BWV 1005​, a performance filmed by Stuart Armitt​ that, literally, takes us on a journey from darkness to light.
