The recording can be found on Nativity, the new programme of Nesbit's Christmas music from over the last decade

Today’s Video of the Day is a performance of Edward Nesbit’s 'So stick up ivy and the bays' by the Choir of Kings College London from the work Nativity. The choir have followed up their first recording of Edward Nesbit’s choral music, named a Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice in 2022, with their new album titled Nativity, a programme of Christmas music written by the composer over the last ten years.

Nesbit’s music is distinctive in the British choral scene. It’s much more fast-paced than is the norm, also with an abundance of musical references to the classical canon, and frequent touches of humour. With their young, zestful performances, Nesbit’s music benefits from his close collaboration with the choir and its director Joseph Fort.
