Saxophonist Huw Wiggin and harpist Oliver Wass collaborate on an EP of Christmas classics, their single of In the Bleak Midwinter out today

Today’s video anticipates the festive preparations as we head towards Christmas. Saxophonist Huw Wiggin and harpist Oliver Wass have collaborated to create an album of much loved Christmas classics that will help soothe and relax you through the festive season. Alongside today’s carol, the EP, released on 2nd December, will include arrangements of Silent Night and the French carol Ballade de Jesus Christ.

Their single of In the Bleak Midwinter is out today, based on Gustav Holst’s beloved carol and arranged by John Lenehan.

As Professor of Saxophone at the Royal College of Music and former winner of the Royal Overseas League Competition, Huw Wiggin has already seen recording success with his debut disc ‘Reflections’ released on Orchid Classics in 2018, also in collaboration with John Lenehan and Oliver Wass. A future album for Orchid Classics, with pianist Noriko Ogawa is due for release in March 2023.
